Long overdue post

I have been absolutely terrible about maintaining this blog! A toddler apparently keeps one very busy.
It's hard to believe, but Tate is 2.5 years old. He is adorable, spunky, funny, and very sweet. It's hard to believe how much you can love someone. We are so thankful for him and all of the support our family and friends have provided over the years. Here are some pictures from this year!

Tate is 1!

It is so hard to believe that this time last year our little guy was in the NICU learning how to be a baby. We are so proud of his development and growth, and feel like the world's luckiest parents! Tate has had a great birthday weekend and week. His Smiddy visited over the weekend. We all went to the PKD walk to honor Baby Pher and Rex. I won top individual fundraiser! That evening Tate got his first birthday cake made by Smiddy. It was shaped like an elephant since he is our elephant baby. Tate got another cake on his actual birthday to continue the celebration with his Gigi and Grandy. Tate enjoyed all of the sugar!

11 months!

I have not been the best about updating the blog - my apologies. Some cute little guy keeps me quite busy. Tate is doing very well. He recently started daycare and despite the tearful morning drop-offs, we think he enjoys himself! He is always happy when we pick him up the afternoon. And we know that he loves watching the other kids and getting attention from his teachers. Tate is now crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on furniture. He is also "talking" a lot. (Mostly saying "mama," much to Jon's chagrin).

We can hardly believe he will be turning ONE in a few weeks. Everyday we feel incredibly blessed. Tate reminds us daily of the good that has come out of our heartbreaking journey. We cannot imagine our lives without him - we love him immensely!

I'm growing up so fast!

Eight and Nine Months!

Well, I missed the 8 month update...so this will be a combination. I cannot believe Tate is 9 months old. It's going by so quickly. He is doing well and turning into a little wild man! While he's not technically crawling, he can get places with scooting and rolling. He is very curious and likes to get his hands on anything and everything. Poor guy has been teething for the longest time, but still no sign of a tooth! Overall, he is a very happy guy (unless we are trying to get him to nap). Everyone he meets comments on happy and sweet he is - we are lucky!

Seven Months

I'm trying to update the blog monthly with pictures. Time goes by so fast! Tate is doing well. He's sitting up on his own for brief stints of time and rolling around like crazy. We think crawling won't be too long now. I guess it is time to baby-proof the house!
